Scottish Rite Biography:
Brother Clarke was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in Birmingham Lodge, No. 757, F&AM, Birmingham, Alabama. A member of the Mobile Scottish Rite Bodies, Brother Clarke had the distinction of serving as Master of Kadosh (1940-1958.) He was honored with the rank and decoration of Knight Commander of the Court of Honour in 1931. Coronated an Inspector General Honorary of the Thirty-third Degree in 1943, appointed Deputy of the Supreme Council in Alabama in 1959, and crowned a Sovereign Grand Inspector-General in 1963.
Illustrious Frederic William Clarke, 33°, was a real Master Mason; and he practiced its teachings and its philosophy for the benefit of his fellow men. He impressed his personality on every place or person in which or with whom he was associated. He served the Supreme Council well and he has left us with a record of good deeds to voice his fame.
